AMANDA STUTT is a freelance journalist and writer based in Ottawa, Canada. She has a Bachelor's degree in Literature and a Master's degree in Journalism, both from the University of British Columbia. Her print stories have been published in the Village Voice, the Globe and Mail, the Ottawa Business Journal, CBCNews.ca, the Vancouver Sun, the Tyee, Alternet, the Center for Journalism Ethics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and others. She has served as an Associate Producer for CBC National Radio and TV, and as a researcher for the W Network's Smart Cookies. In 2009, she received the Rafe Mair award for excellence in public service journalism.
